Iberostar Isla Canela

Located directly on the beachfront, with a seafront promenade, on the
Isla Canela (Costa de la Luz). A bridge connects the island with the
Andalusian village of Ayamonte on the Portuguese frontier, 6 km away
but part of Spain. Beaches are stretching for 7 km with canals and
unique natural scenery, favoured by the areas microclimate. The hotel
is situated next to a shopping centre and yacht harbour, 1 km away
from the village of Punta del Moral, near the estuary and the Isla
Canela golf club. It is 58 km from Faro airport (Algarve). There is a
bus stop for the village of Ayamonte just 500 m. from the hotel. The
hotels grounds cover 20,000 m with extensive gardens and a Moorish
style architecture influenced by the culture of the Andalusian Moors.

A newly-built complex, to be opened in 2003, offering a reception with
currency exchange, bicycle and car rental. Swimming pools for adults
and children, sun loungers and parasols free of charge, indoor pool.

Iberostar Accommodation
Apartments (“A1” 2 – 3 pax / “A2” 4 – 5 pax) with bathroom and
hairdryer. Telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, safety
deposit box and spacious terraces. Some have a spacious lounge and
independent bedroom with bathroom. The rest are studios with a double
room and bathroom.
Food & Beverage
Half board service (breakfast and evening meal) with a generous,
varied buffet. Main restaurant with show cooking, specialities
restaurant, cafe, all with air conditioning, and snack bar by the pool
as well as beach bar.
Sports & Leisure
Free of charge in the complex: Fitness-room, aerobics, table tennis.
Extra charge for: tennis, billiards. Nearby golf course, an 18-hole
course, plus the Islantilla course 30 km away. A marina with 231
spaces (first phase) is 1 km away with a shopping centre and
watersports (sailing, motorised watersports, water skiing, fishing,
diving etc.) Also: English bowling greens, two football pitches and
other sporting facilities in the area.
Childrens Facilities
Childrens pool, miniclub, games room and babysitter service at night,
on request and at extra charge.
