San Antonio Information
Dusk till Dawn resort. Now officially renamed Sant Antoni de
Portmany, this resort is known as the tourist capital of Ibiza.
Set on the wide bay of San Antonio this lively resort stretches
for 4 miles from the small sandy cove at Cala Gracio in the north,
through to the buzzing development of Cala Bou to the south. Days
are spent relaxing on the pleasant beaches or at the yachting
marina where the choice of water activities includes scuba diving
and boat trip excursions to neighbouring islands or strolling
around the countless shops and congenial cafes set around the
harbour. As night falls, the party atmosphere kicks in, especially
in the area named the "West End", where the throbbing bars, discos
and pubs are all vying for your attention. In the peak months of
July and August, this is party town, when top DJs and artistes
from the UK are specially flown in to provide the late night
non-stop entertainment.
Port d'es Torrent Information
This small purpose built resort is conveniently situated on the
southern end of San Antonio Bay approximately 2 miles south of San
Antonio itself. The small sandy beach offers watersports and boat
trips across the bay and the quieter relaxing holiday atmosphere
is ideally suited to families, couples and mature holidaymakers.
There are a number of restaurants, bars and shops, but for a more
bustling and vibrant nightlife, the bright lights of San Antonio
are close by and can even be reached by local bus which operates a
night service during the summer months.
S'Argamassa Information
Set in a picturesque setting on the east side of the island,
S'Argamassa is sandwiched between the larger resorts of Es Cana
and Santa Eulalia. The resort has a small sandy beach with gently
shelving, clear water safe for the whole family. Ideal for a more
relaxed, laid back holiday experience, you can enjoy the range of
water activities or just chill out on the sands. The friendly bars
and restaurants dotted around the resort are great for passing the
time both day and night, but the evening entertainment is mostly
provided by the resort hotels.
Santa Eulalia Information
Located on the south east side of the island, Santa Eulalia is a
charming 16th century town that is growing into a cosmopolitan and
upmarket resort attracting visitors who are looking for a more
relaxed and sophisticated holiday. Set in a crescent shaped bay,
backed by pine covered hills the traditional central square houses
the old town hall from where, a palm tree lined promenade connects
it to the seafront. With various Blue Flag beaches in the
vicinity, the main beaches of Los Toros and Els Pins are ideal for
relaxing or enjoying a number of water sports, or for gazing
across at the luxury yachts anchored at the marina. The level and
variety of shops is generally more sophisticated than other
tourist resorts and with a number of good quality restaurants
offering authentic Spanish cuisine, there is plenty to keep you
occupied away from the beach. At night the focus is on enjoying a
delicious meal, having a quiet drink or a stroll along the
promenade. Some of the hotels provide live entertainment but the
night-life here is generally low-key. There are frequent bus
services into Ibiza town and Es Cana and even boat services into
nearby resorts or further afield to Formentera. |
